Summer Heat Wave

What has happened to our summer?
Heat waves are a bummer
What about the heat dome?
Trapped ocean air
Excessive radiation scares
3 digits forecast at home
And nowhere to roam
No one knows how long it will last
Soon to become a blast of the past
1936, the great depression, until 2012
Never heard of it before
Hot sand on the shore
Hot skin and pads
For the four-legged lads
Stage 2 burning bans
Take the fun away
What are we to do today
Stagnant air anxiety
Humans sweat variety
What about mortality
All play is at risk
Greenhouse gases
This is the new hassles
We now must face
Its everyone’s debate
This summer's heat wave
